This December, please consider supporting CARTOONISTS RIGHTS’ annual Pledge Drive.
Starting on Giving Tuesday – December 3rd – we’ll be asking friends of global cartoonists to dig deep, as this holiday season we’ve set our most ambitious target ever. Before Christmas we want to raise at least $20,250.
2025 is a big year for us, as we mark twenty-five years of campaigning on behalf of cartoonists abused, criminalized, displaced, and threatened because of what they draw.
January 7th will be the tenth anniversary of the murders at Charlie Hebdo magazine, Paris and an opportunity to reflect on the evolving threats to free expression. In May we will present the Robert Russell Courage in Cartooning Award to a cartoonist who has exemplified the principle of free expression while working under duress. And throughout the year we will continue to advocate for and assist as many more cartoonists as we can.
But none of this is possible without your donations, doubly so amid a changing domestic climate that places the work of non-profits like ours in jeopardy. Use the panel below to make a donation.
Thank you!
Terms & Conditions: between 12/03 and 12/23/24 CARTOONISTS RIGHTS will offer items of artwork donated by multiple cartoonists as a gesture of gratitude to donors. This is not a contest or sweepstakes; items will be assigned on a first come, first served basis and only while supplies last. Each will item will be described on social media. Fulfillment is not guaranteed prior to Christmas 2024. Recipients will be placed in contact with the relevant cartoonist.
