Artist/activist Kianoush Ramezani is having a mid-career exhibit of his cartoons at the New Gallery for Contemporary Art at NOVA near Washington, D.C., through February 12. The Iranian cartoonist has worked in exile in Paris since 2009, publishing and exhibiting his cartoons throughout Europe. In 2013, Kianoush started the Sketch Freedom Movement to exhibit the art of exiled cartoonists in support of freedom of expression.
The gallery will host a reception for the artist from 4:00 — 6:00 on February 11, followed by a talk by the artist.
